CAB SCREENS CRESCENT YAMAHA: FIM MXGP CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE

The 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship finale took place in Hampshire over the weekend, in Matterley Basin near Winchester.

Harri Kullas and Jamie Carpenter took to the track on Saturday for MXGP qualifying, but sadly Jamie injured his shoulder after landing hard on a jump and had to sit out the rest of the weekend.

Harri had a great first MXGP race on Sunday, with a top ten start. Lying 9th for the early laps, Harri moved to 8th by mid-race, before a mistake pushed him back to 11th. He then lost a place on the last lap to Swiss rider, Valentin Guillod, to finish 12th.

An almost identical start in race two, and Harri was 9th again early on, before overshooting a corned and dropping to 11th. A fall mid-race dropped him further to 13th place, and he edged close to MX Nations winner, Alesandro Lupino, but couldn't get close enough to make a move.

13-12 finishes gave Harri an awesome 12th place overall.
