CAB SCREENS CRESCENT YAMAHA: FINAL ROUND OF MX NATIONALS

Harri Kullas came to the final round of the Michelin MX Nationals Pro MX1 championship in a buoyant mood, after a very successful run at the American Pro Motocross series in August.

Harri qualified 7th fastest and then blasted his Yamaha YZ450F off the start for a clear holeshot in race one. However, his lead was short lived as a small mistake on lap one, allowed the Honda’s of Mewse and Gilbert past, and Harri rode out the remainder of the race in a clear 3rd place.

In race two Harri’s start wasn’t as good, but he did get as high as 3rd before a fading clutch meant he had to nurse the bike home for 5th place.

Jamie Carpenter was back from injury at the final MX Nationals round at Hawkstone Park, after a nasty crash at the previous round 4 weeks ago.

Jamie qualified well in 5th place, and then had a decent start, only to crash on lap two, losing over 40 seconds and got going dead last. Jamie then put in a fantastic effort to get through to 10th in MX1 by the finish.

In race two, Jamie had a great start in 6th place, and put in some fast early laps to give himself some breathing space, to finish 6th.

Jamie Carpenter - "“Good to be back at the races! First moto I crashed twice on the first lap and after being nearly a lap down, found a rhythm and came through to 10th. Second race I got a much better start and rode a decent race to finish 6th. Glad to finish the day on a more positive result after a few weeks away”

Sam Nunn - “Overall a good day at Hawkstone. Two come from behind motos and fighting to the end, so I can be pleased with that. One more race this year, so let’s finish on a high”
