CAB SCREENS CRESCENT YAMAHA: KULLAS 4TH OVERALL AT MXGB WITH SEASON BEST WEEKEND FOR CARPENTER

Harri Kullas continued his Revo MX1 British Championship campaign at a new track to the series, Schoolhouse, in County Durham.

Harri was 5th fastest in qualifying and had a great start in race one, before the race had to be restarted, when Harri didn’t gate so well and was just inside the top ten. By the end of lap one, Harri was through to 5th place, making his way past reigning champion Tommy Searle, before losing a place to series leader, Conrad Mewse. Two laps from the end, Harri moved past Evgeny Bobryshev and into 4th place at the finish.

Harri grabbed the holeshot in race two, only to be pushed back to third after the second corner, then to 5th by the end of lap one. Hethen closed the gap on Tommy Searle in 4th, trying to find a way past but to no avail, finishing 5th , for 4th overall.

Also, worth noting that this result is the first time Harri has been off the MXGB podium since round one 2012, ending a 12 run podium streak.

Harri Kullas“Hard day in the office. I enjoyed my bike today, but results were not showing the true potential that I have. Unfortunately, I’m missing a little bit of something lately. Everyone is doing great job in our team, and I felt like I let my team down. I go back to work and try to bounce back next weekend. We still have a few races to go and try to get back to front”

Jamie Carpenter came into round six of the Revo ACU British Motocross Series lying in ninth position in the series, as we headed north to Schoolhouse, Country Durham.

A good start in race one saw Jamie in 6 th place early on, chasing down his team mate, Harri Kullas in the early laps, before losing places to series leader, Conrad Mewse and Tristan Purdon, leaving him 8 th going into the last lap, when a small fall lost him one more place, to come home in 9th.

In race two, Jamie was just inside the top ten early on, before making a few passes to move to 7th place by lap four. He then put in an awesome ride to give himself some breathing space and ride his own race, finishing 7th in the race, for 7th overall. The rookies best overall since joining MX1

Jamie Carpenter - “Solid day going 7th overall at Schoolhouse. Shame about a small tip over on the last lap of race one, losing a position. But plenty of positives after two consistent races”

Sam Nunn was looking to build on a strong previous round, here at Schoolhouse in Country Durham, for the penultimate round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship.

Sam had a terrible start to race one and was almost last in first few corners, and still outside the top 20 after a few laps, He seemed to find a flow later on , and put in a professional ride to come through to 13th at the finish, with his fastest lap of the race on the last lap!

Race two was a tough one for Sam, as he struggled to find a flow, finishing in 15th.

Sam Nunn - “Tough day at Schoolhouse and two bad starts made it hard work on a track that was hard to pass on. Glad to be coming out healthy and looking forward to Oxford Moto Parc next weekend with MX Nationals”
