CAB SCREENS CRESCENT YAMAHA: KULLAS PODIUMS MX NATIONALS

Harri Kullas continued the defence of the Michelin MX Nationals Pro MX1 championship at Cusses Gorse, Wiltshire, this weekend.

Qualifying third fastest, Harri then had a good start and was 3rd by the end of lap one, chasing down the Honda’s of Josh Gilbert and Conrad Mewse. Harri moved past Gilbert on lap 9 and then looked to close the gap on the leader, but it didn’t quite happen, and he fell just short.

In race two, Harri was around 5th and then moved to 3rd by the end of lap one, but he overshot a corner in the early laps and lost the tow to the front two, finishing a lonely third.

Harri Kullas“On the podium today, which is always nice. But the aim was to close the gap to Conrad and Josh, and that didn’t quite happen. I really enjoyed the track today, but a few early small mistakes meant I lost the tow in both races”

Jamie Carpenter came to round four of the MX Nationals at Cusses Gorse , looking to build on some strong recent form.

Jamie qualified well and was 7th fastest in MX1, but then disaster struck as a fall on lap one, before being hit from behind by another rider, meant Jamie’s day came to a painful end.
After a trip to hospital, the diagnosis was a broken nose and hematoma and swelling on his neck/back.

Get well soon, Jamie.
